PDF, psychogram, Excel, or dashboard? Choosing assessment report formats
Compare individual PDF reports, psychograms, Excel recaps, HTML dashboards, and report decks based on their readers and decisions.
The same assessment data may need to be read in different ways. Participants need personal context, psychologists need detail, HR needs comparison, and management needs patterns that support decisions. Start with the reader, then select the format.
Quick summary
- PDF suits complete individual results and controlled distribution.
- Psychograms summarize relevant dimensions under professional configuration.
- Excel and dashboards support multi-participant operations.
- Report decks translate findings into management-level discussion.
1. Individual or PDF reports
PDF works when one person needs a complete result document containing identity, instruments, score summaries, interpretation, visuals, recommendations, and other agreed modules.
In Scalify, PDF is the most complete white-label surface. Organization name, logo, and color theme can carry through the cover, headers, accents, sections, charts, and footer. Structure is selected within available modules; special formats require configuration or development.
2. Purpose-fit psychograms
Psychograms help readers scan a profile of dimensions quickly. The number and type of dimensions should follow the assessment purpose, instruments, and the organization's or professional's reading framework rather than a fixed template.
Client-specific formats can be developed through code configuration, including tool mapping, score mechanics, narratives, recommendations, and page order. This is not an unrestricted self-service editor.
3. Excel recaps for multiple participants
Excel supports screening, reconciliation, further analysis, and operational handover. Agree on columns so identities, status, scores, categories, and notes remain consistent.
The focus is data structure rather than presentation. Scalify Excel outputs are not visually white-labelled today, and workbook metadata still references Scalify.
4. HTML dashboards for search and filtering
Dashboards are effective when teams need to find participants, filter groups, track status, compare results, or export data without opening documents one by one. Keep sensitive information limited to authorized readers.
Scalify HTML dashboard branding is currently partial. Headers can use a name, logo, and colors, while some Scalify traces remain in footers or fallback states.
5. Report decks for meetings and decisions
A deck works when readers need patterns, important findings, risks, group comparisons, and recommendations rather than every individual detail.
Do not merely move tables onto slides. Structure the story around the decision, state data limitations, and keep supporting detail available. Human review remains important so context is not lost.
Choose formats by reader and decision. One project can produce several outputs from the same assessment source data.

View professional profileFrequently asked questions
Can one project produce several report formats?
Yes. The same source data can support individual PDFs, psychograms, Excel recaps, HTML dashboards, or report decks depending on scope and reader needs.
Are all formats fully white-labelled?
No. PDF offers the most complete visual white-label support. HTML branding remains partial, while Excel is not currently visually white-labelled. Special requirements need configuration or development.
Can the number of psychogram dimensions be customized?
Yes, when supported by the assessment need and instruments. Special formats are built through technical configuration rather than a free-form self-service editor.
